There will also be a program for ptashenjata. Bulavy are still being filled, so everyone is welcome to assist in any way they can.

Дорогі пластуни, батьки і друзі! Ми Вас і Ваших дітей щиро запрошуємо на цікавий і різноманітній літній табір. Пропонуємо веселу і захоплюючу програму, і обіцяємо унікальних пригод для всіх. Табір зорганізований Пластом Вікторії, але брати участь може будь-який пластун та кожен, у кого є бажання стати платуном. Ми чекаємо найбільшу можливу кількість гостей з інших штатів і станиць.

We warmly invite you and your children to our exciting and action-packed summer camp. Join in the fun, the challenges and the fantastic experiences available to all. Whilst this camp is organised by Plast Victoria, it is open to all plastuny and those who'd like to become plastuny. We look forward to enjoying our camp with as many interstate visitors as possible.

Табір forms

Plast Australia organised a nation-wide training event (вишкіл) at Sokil (Wensleydale) on 2-4 October 2015. The event brought together 7 older junatstvo and 15 starshi plastuny from Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Participants camped out and self-catered, building most of what they used including shelters, sinks, tables, flagpole, and the obligatory brama. Participants had no problems devouring two spits. The program also included some theory and lots of bushcraft, culminating in the rich plast tradition of singing songs, acting out sketches and reciting poems around our Vatra.

Plast Australia is continuously working to prepare vykhovnyky with leadership skills and knowledge to enable them to be active in Plast Australia and daily life. Plast teaches that through self-development, we can nurture people of character who benefit both our Ukrainian and broader Australian communities.

Thanks to all who participated, each providing a unique contribution. Plast Australia is also grateful for the generous financial support provided by Sydney, Adelaide and Victoria Plast Associations together with Karpaty Foundation.

Plast Australia will run the second part of its вишкіл program between 11-14 March 2016.

Ділимося сумною вісткою, що у понеділок 5-го жовтня 2015 року з Божої Волі у Аделайді, відійшов на Вічну Ватру визначний добродієць, пластовий і громадський діяч, пластун сеніор керівництва, Омелян Слободян БМ.

Друг Омелян, член Куреня Брати Моуглі, записався золотими літерами в історію Пласту, як рівно ж в історію нашої спільноти в Австралії, з окрема із заснуванням пластового Музею в Аделайді та його веденням впродовж пів століття. Друг Омелян народився 20-го квітня 1931 року в Корніві на Україні та вступив до Пласту в 1946 році в Реґенсбурзі в Німеччині. Приїхавши до Австралії в 1949 році, перебуваючи в переходовому таборі Бонеґілля, знайшов товариство між пластунами. По контрактовій праці в Квінсланді, переїхав до Аделайди де відразу вступив до станиці.

Від 50-их років, друг Омелян почав збирати різні пластовій видання, відзнаки та інші матеріали з пластового життя в Австралії та з усіх куточків світу де існує Пласт, включно з Україною. Довго приміщений в кімнаті власної хати, музей тепер існує в Українському Народньому Домі Громади Південної Австралії.

З нагоди святкування 100-ліття Пласту, другові Омелянові надали орден Вічного Вогню в Золоті за визначну й довголітню громадську діяльність.

Праця друга Омеляна у зібранні матеріалів і архівних документів є значним внеском в збереженні спадщини української нації, що є важливим фундаментом для формування української спільності по цілому світі. Надіємось, що Пласт та українська громада Південної Австралії, продовжить і надалі починання друга Омеляна і надасть всебічну підтримку його праці в майбутньому.

Висловлюємо наше глибоке співчуття дружині Марійці, синам Петрові та Стефанові, та цілій родині друга Омеляна. Пластова Родина і українська громадськість втратили щирого українського патріота і діяча. Пам'ять про друга Омеляна залишиться на завжди в наших серцях.

Plastova Stanycia are pleased to have been able to assist Vasilis Vasilias in the publication of his book about Ukrainians in Australia, "In Search of Hope and Home", as part of his works on Post War European Migration to Australia & NZ.

Message from Greg Huzij, President, Plast Ukrainian Youth Association of NSW at the launch of the book: 'We are forever indebted to our forefathers, who despite being in a foreign land, worked hard to build their new country, became exemplary Australian citizens and at the same time remembered their heritage by building organisations like Plast. We are proud to have some of their stories captured in this publication'.

Bowling fun was had on 30th August.

A good turnout by novactvo & junactvo made for a great afternoon.

Starshe junactvo hiked over the weekend of 26th-27th October.

St.Pl. Stefcha Korol(*) shares her thoughts about the hiking trip:

Being a stranger to an amazing country such as Australia, I came here not knowing many people. Fortunately for me that has changed. Through Plast I have connected with a bunch of Australians and have even gotten the chance to experience a proper Australian Bush Hiking trip. We went hiking in the Megalong Valley of the Blue Mountains. It was a trip planned by Julia Manchester, a yunachka in Sydney. I was so impressed how prepared yunatstvo came and how they put their heads together to problem-solve when there was a fork in the road. Two days hiking with these kids was not enough. I would love to take them on another trip and another adventure, so I can teach them more values of Plast and what it means to be a vychovnyk, but also so they can teach me more about the country that they live in and what Plast means to them.

(*)St. Pl. Стефця Король moved to Sydney from Detroit in July 2015 on University exchange. She is studying full time for the next year and has taken over as vykhovnyk for yunatstvo in Sydney while she is here!

Sviato Pokrovy was held on Sunday 18th October at Hoverla, Colo River. Unfortunately the weather put a dampener on the day for some and only the brave came along to see the ploshcha where we will be camping this year. UPN & UPJ discovered that it is quite a long walk between the kitchen and the river ….. Bulava took the opportunity to map out pid tabory and check out the facilities. Kurin Stepovi Vidmy provided morning tea and lunch.

Plast Victoria held their AGM on Sunday 15th November 2015.
The new stanytsia looks forward to continuing their ongoing work in the 2015-2016 year and would like to thank our chleny in Geelong and Melbourne for their ongoing support.

Plast Victoria has launched an email bulletin. The email bulletin will provide our Plast Victoria Members with news and notifications of upcoming Plast events. The intention is that ALL Plast Victoria Members are aware what is happening.

You will receive news from UPN (Novatstvo), UPU (Yunatsvo), USP/UPS (Starshe Plastunstvo / Seniors). This is a very important part of Plast Victoria's ability of being able to communicate to each one of our Members. We invite your feedback and commentary.

The traditional Plast Victoria's "Св. Пoкрoви" Apel (Апель) was held on the 18th October, at Westerfolds Park, Templestowe. An organised programme was put in place for all the Novaky and Yunatsvo. Some 75 Пластуни and parents were in attendance. A fully provided BBQ was served, with no food left! - thanks to cooks Пл. Сен. Славкo Кoгут i Вoлoдя Маґалас.

Sviato Pokrovy represents historical events when our Zaporozhian Cossacks took the Virgin Mother Mary as their guardian when preparing for battle, and prayed to her for protection. And hence from then, our Ukrainian Christians adopted the Virgin Mother Mary as the Protector. Plast carries on the tradition.

During the apel, Roksolana Levkut was awarded a 3-ta unatska vidznachennya for her assistance with running novatstvki skhodyny over the past year. The following novaky also received their fifth proba badge: Christina Makohon, Joseph Adamic, Peter Pelyshchuk, Thomas Curkowskyj, Iryna Loboda, Symon Herczaniwski and Vitaly Davyd.

Stanytsia congratulations David Hassett on election to Dnister board for next 3 years

На 24-ого жовтня, відбулося незвичайна теренова змагання на площа Білій Гір ("Whites Hill Reserve") в Брізбані.

Пластуни та приятелі пласту від 3 континенти та різне покоління (від пташенят до сеньорат) взяли участь у теренову гру. Учасники перемагали різні фізичні, картографічні та інтелектуальні задачи через гострій ліс.

Згідно з наші цінности, учасники не взяли народні рослини чи творини від лісу а фотографували свої об'єкти. Тобто, скінчили теренову гру з цікавим колекцію знимок із мандрівку в лісу.

День продовжилося до нічній зустріч, разом з жаренні ковбаски та лісовареній чай, та різні спортові гри. Обов'язково, закінчили день з спільним ватром котра закінчилася з співанням традитційним «Ніч вже іде».

Наступна теренова змагання буде на 12-ого грудня - будьте з нами, чи будьте квадрати!

Plast Stanytsia Brisbane is pleased to report: nobody was permanently lost in the ліс following it's first Scavenger Race Challenge.

The challenge comprised elements of orienteering, trivia and (Plast Brisbane's own) photo–rogaining, fused with traditional scavenger hunting. Teams Heroi (Герої) and Super-Heroi (Супер-Герої) competed valiantly to take out the prize before their vatra-cooked snags got cold.

Reinforcements arrived, just in time to help eat vechera and soak up the warmth from the fire. After a night of almost too much singing and merriment, all reluctantly bid each other dobranich in our usual Plast fashion.
