After attaining the age of about 35 years, Scouts—if they choose to remain members of the scouting community — become Seniors ("seniory"). They can either continue to be active with children, or get involved in some other community service; traditionally, the Seniors have always been in the forefront of Ukrainian community life and can boast of some very significant accomplishments in various areas in the Ukrainian communities, both in Ukraine and in diaspora.
