On Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the historic St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, His Grace Bishop Mykola Bychok, Eparch of the Eparchy of Saints Peter and Paul of Melbourne for Ukrainian Catholics in Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, was elevated to the dignity of Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church by His Holiness Pope Francis.
At a private reception of the newly elevated Cardinals following the service, the CEO of Plast Australia had the honor of congratulating Cardinal Bychok on behalf of Plast Australia and plastuny worldwide. We expressed our heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering support of youth, particularly plastuny, who represent the future of our community.
In these challenging times, Cardinal Bychok’s dedication to shining a light of hope inspires us all as we strive to live by our creed of being true to God and Ukraine.
We are deeply proud of this momentous achievement and pray that God grants His Eminence strength and wisdom in his new role.
