On Saturday, 28 March 2026, PLAST members across Australia came together to celebrate Ukrainian tradition through the art of pysanky. In Perth, the local gathering was filled with a vibrant sense of cultural connection, as members of all ages — from the youngest scouts to senior mentors — learned to create these symbolic decorated eggs.
Meanwhile, in NSW, a special pysanky masterclass was led by Kyrin Blyskavky, guiding Plast members through the delicate process of crafting intricate designs. Each symbol and line carries meaning, connecting generations and preserving our rich cultural heritage.
These workshops were more than just a creative activity — they were a moment to strengthen community bonds. Everyone participated, learned, and shared knowledge, demonstrating that PLAST is a family where traditions are nurtured, skills are passed on, and character is built.
