Tea and Song Among Friends Brings Plast Seniors Together in Melbourne
Plast seniory gathered in Melbourne on Saturday for “Tea and Song Among Friends”, a warm afternoon of music, conversation, and shared memories that celebrated the enduring bonds of the Plast community.
Organised by the Stepovi Vidmy kurin under the leadership of pl. sen. Roksoliana Sukhoverska, the gathering welcomed senior Plast members for an afternoon centred on friendship and tradition. A symbolic vatra (campfire) formed the heart of the event, creating a space where familiar songs and stories brought generations together.
Leading the singing was pl. sen. Symon Kohut, who filled the hall with beloved Ukrainian folk songs and cherished Plast classics. As voices joined in unison, the afternoon became a reminder of the traditions that continue to connect Plast members, no matter where they are in the world.
For many in attendance, the gathering reflected the timeless spirit of Plast. When Plast songs are sung, time seems to pause, making space for memories, laughter, and the friendships that have been nurtured over decades. These moments reaffirm the strength of a community united by shared values, experiences, and a lifelong commitment to the Plast movement.
