Plast Ukrainian Scouts Australia has announced the appointment of pl. sen. Tomas Miljenovic as Deputy Holova of the KPS and Referent of Educational Activities, following the ratification of his election by the KPR.
Miljenovic will take on the two roles as part of Plast Australia’s ongoing educational and organisational work, bringing with him years of experience within the organisation, including his previous service as Referent of UPN.
Plast Australia welcomed Miljenovic’s willingness to take on the additional responsibility, recognising his longstanding commitment and contribution to the organisation.
“His experience, commitment and ongoing contribution to Plast Australia will be greatly valued in this expanded role,” the organisation said in its announcement.
The appointments also mark a change in the leadership of Plast Australia’s educational activities, with st. pl. Damian Pavlyshyn stepping down from his positions as Deputy Holova KPS and Referent of Educational Activities.
Pavlyshyn was thanked for his service and contribution to Plast Australia, both during his time living in Australia and more recently while continuing to support the organisation remotely from the United States.
According to Plast Australia, Pavlyshyn made a significant contribution to the organisation throughout his tenure, continuing to work with and support the Australian branch from overseas.
The organisation expressed its gratitude to both Miljenovic and Pavlyshyn for their service, commitment and contribution to the continued development of Plast in Australia.
The leadership changes come as Plast continues its work supporting Ukrainian youth through scouting, education and community, connecting generations of Ukrainian Australians through its longstanding activities.
