On Sunday, 9 November 2025, PLAST NSW proudly participated in the Spring Yarmarok organised by pl. sen. Natalka Oleksyn at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin in Strathfield West, Sydney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event marked the Parish\u2019s second major fundraiser of the year in support of the Hospitallers Volunteer Medical Battalion in Ukraine, following the Winter Yarmarok held in June. PLAST NSW supported both initiatives generously, both physically and financially\u2014through donations, running a PLAST sausage sizzle, and assisting with the extensive work of setting up, serving, packing up, and cleaning on the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both fundraisers were highly successful. The Spring Yarmarok raised $15,651.80<\/strong>, while the Winter Yarmarok raised $17,809<\/strong>, making a significant contribution to this vital cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are deeply grateful to PLAST NSW for their continued involvement and steadfast support of the Parish\u2019s fundraising efforts for Ukraine. In particular, we would like to thank Stanychna Sydneyu Orysia Spinner\/Sywak, st. pl. Solomiya Sywak, st. pl. Daniella Sywak, Yunak Volodymyr Drobushar, and Yunak Nazar Drobushar for running the PLAST sausage sizzle at the Spring Yarmarok. Special thanks also go to pl. sen. Ed Oleksyn for his tireless work, as well as to all Plastuny who contributed their time and energy to the many tasks before, during, and after the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
