He was a member of \u201cBraty Mowhli\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"277\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/plast.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8608\" style=\"width:165px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/plast.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BM.png 277w, https:\/\/plast.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BM-222x300.png 222w, https:\/\/plast.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BM-111x150.png 111w, https:\/\/plast.org.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BM-9x12.png 9w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 277px) 100vw, 277px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yuriy played a notable role in supporting the rebuilding of the Plast camp-museum \u201cSokil\u201d in Ukraine. Through his commitment, fundraising and practical help, his contribution was formally recognized in both Ukraine and Australia.&nbsp;&nbsp;He participated in international scouting events, the 1959 Scout Jamboree in the Philippines and visited Ukraine many times (1991 to 2016) to raise funds for rebuilding Sokil .&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outside of Plast, Yuriy was active in Adelaide\u2019s Ukrainian community. His roles included participation in the Adelaide Hromada, the \u201cHoverla\u201d credit Union as well as church treasurer at his
