Stanychna of Victoria, pl.sen.Teresa Lachowicz had the opportunity to visit Lviv for a few days on behalf of the International Coordination of Medical Aid to Ukraine, under the banner of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) and Plast Australia to meet with the inspirational, resilient people we have been working with since the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February.
Spending time with fellow Plastuny while in Lviv, to hear about their experiences and to reassure them that their brothers and sisters in Australia are supporting them and will continue to do so, as long as it takes.
A reminder of the losses we as Plastuny have endured – also visiting the graves of our fallen druzhi at the Luchakiv cemetery to pay our respects.
So many plastuny around Australia have worked as part of this extraordinary team. Teresa also met with Lviv plastunka and doctor pl.sen.Lesia Dobosh and see first-hand our humanitarian aid program and engage to future needs that will hold us in good stead as we look at future needs and programs. Teresa – you epitomise the values of plastuvanya in these challenging times!
