Welcome to the Spring 2024 Edition of the Plast Australia E-Visnyk! 

It is with great honour that I am introducing another e-Visnyk, following my re-election. I want to start by expressing my deepest gratitude to the outgoing Executive team for their hard work and dedication over the past term. To those who have stayed on, thank you for your continued commitment, and to the new faces on our executive, welcome aboard—we’re thrilled to have you join us as we continue to build and strengthen Plast in Australia.

This quarter also saw our National Conference take place in Sydney, where it was wonderful to showcase the excellent facilities of Plast NSW to visitors from across the country. Important discussions occurred around the new legal structures of Plast in Australia and plans for the future more broadly.

There is still much work to do, and we need additional assistance on the Executive, particularly in the areas of secretarial and communications roles. As the saying goes, many hands make light work, and your support is essential to our collective success.

On a high note, I’m pleased to report that this year’s ski camp was a great success, especially after the challenges we faced with the poor conditions last year. Looking ahead, we are all excited for the 100 Years of Novatstvo camp in Canberra at the end of September—a milestone we will celebrate with enthusiasm and pride.

It has also been fantastic to see the continued momentum in Brisbane and Perth, where innovative and engaging programs are keeping our plastuny inspired and active.

Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to Plast. Together, we continue to create meaningful and lasting experiences for the youth in our community.
