Visnyk Spring 2025
Welcome to the Spring 2025 Edition of the Plast Australia E-Visnyk!
As spring arrives across Australia, we’re reminded of renewal — of growth, connection, and shared purpose. This edition of Visnyk beautifully captures those themes, with stories that span every corner of our wide brown land.
From the historic first Plast camp in Western Australia to the creative energy of our Tasmanian skhodyny and the hero-themed activities in Queensland, it’s inspiring to see the same spirit of adventure and service shining in every stanytsia. Victoria’s Lesh Tabir once again brought snow, laughter, and camaraderie to Mt Hotham, while Sydney received heartfelt recognition from the Hospitaller Medical Battalion — a moving reminder that our efforts reach far beyond our local communities.
This season we also pause to honour two extraordinary lives: pl. sen. Alexandra Pavlyshyn, whose dedication to Ukrainian culture and language inspired generations, and Vladyka Peter Stasiuk, our longtime shepherd and supporter of youth and Plast. Their legacies will continue to guide and strengthen us.
Whether through skhodyny, camps, service projects, or museum archives preserving our pioneers’ stories — each of you is keeping the flame of Plast alive. Together, we build a community where our young people can grow strong in character, love for Ukraine, and commitment to helping others.
Thank you to everyone who continues to lead, teach, volunteer, and participate. Your energy and example make Plast in Australia what it is — a living movement rooted in purpose and friendship.
In unity there is strength — and in service, meaning.
SKOB!
