Visnyk Summer 2025

Welcome to the Summer 2025 Edition of the Plast Australia E-Visnyk!

As we celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year, the Plast Australia Executive (KPS) sends warm summer greetings to all Plast members and their families. This is a season when our community truly comes alive — long days, warm weather, and countless opportunities to gather, reconnect, and enjoy the outdoors together.

Across Australia, our branches have finished the year with great energy and purpose. From the Global Plast Run in support of Poltava, to Pokrova celebrations, to welcoming His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk and the Permanent Synod of Bishops of the UGCC in Melbourne, our members have remained active, united, and deeply engaged. In Western Australia, the local program continued to grow through outdoor adventures and commemorative events, while our national AGM brought representatives together to reflect, plan, and set direction for the year ahead.

This year also gave us an opportunity to express our gratitude for the many forms of service that sustain our movement. We acknowledge and celebrate members whose long-standing dedication, leadership, and commitment continue to strengthen Plast in Australia. Each recognition reflects the shared values of service, responsibility, and care that underpin our community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to outgoing Board Chair pl. sen. Marko Pavyshyn for his dedication and leadership over recent years. His work during a period of significant governance restructuring has helped position Plast Australia on strong foundations for the future, and we are deeply grateful for his contribution.

As summer stretches ahead, we look forward to what our members cherish most — coming together at summer camps. Whether in the bush, by the coast, or within our local branches, this season reminds us how special our Plast community is and how fortunate we are to share these experiences together.

As part of the global Plast family, we also carry with us the energy of Plast members around the world — united by shared traditions, values, and the joy of gathering each summer.

We wish everyone a bright and happy Christmas, a joyful New Year, and a summer filled with warmth, friendship, and unforgettable moments.
