Harmony Week March 18 and 25 Brisbane
On Saturday, March 18, students of Lesya Ukrainka school and members of Plast Ptashenyata and Novatstvo, started celebrating the Week of Harmony.
Children, a mix of Australian-born and displaced from Ukraine, shared in different childhood games, drew and painted symbols of Harmony, and made a Harmony Hand Collage – also reading the Ukrainian folktale, “The Mitten”, a tale which describes Living in Harmony, being this year’s theme.
Harmony Week celebrations continued on Saturday 25 March, after children had the opportunity to experience Harmony Week at their Australian school.
