Plast Australia’s 35th National Convention

Plast Australia’s 35th National Convention saw plastuny from Australia come together in Sydney from 14-15 July 2024.

Reviewing the last 3 years of Plast Ukrainian Scouts national program, we were joined by pl.sen. Myron Spolsky, CEO of Plast Global.

We recognise the dedication of our volunteers, within a period exiting Covid parameters and the need to refocus due to the unlawful full scale invasion of Ukraine, the need to assist resettled displaced persons, and establish and execute humanitarian assistance programs. This was coupled with an important discussion about the structure and governance of Plast Australia.

A fundraiser was held in the evening to raise funds for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

On Sunday morning we joined mass at St. Andrews Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lidcombe before the continuation of the Convention.

The second day of Plast Australia’s 35th National Convention saw a continuation of discussions about the future of Plast around Australia.

Pl. sen. Katrusia Miljenovic was recognised with a Gold Sv Yuri, for outstanding work in Plast and the Ukrainian community in Australia, for many years of leadership work as stanychna of Brisbane, for church and educational work and for helping displaced persons from Ukraine.
