Following recent heavy rains, the local creek was left with an overwhelming amount of rubbish scattered along its banks. Determined to make a difference, Юнацтво Victoria stepped in with energy and purpose, taking part in a clean-up effort inspired by initiatives like Clean Up Australia Day.
What they found was both surprising and eye-opening.
By the end of the day, the group had filled an impressive 13 large rubbish bags to the brim — a powerful reminder of the impact of waste on our natural environment. Among the debris were some unexpected “treasures”: a computer monitor, a novel, a frisbee, a Japanese Pokémon card, a raincoat… and even a Clean Up Australia Day rubbish bag itself.
While some finds sparked curiosity and laughter, the experience highlighted a serious message about environmental responsibility. The accumulation of waste not only affects the beauty of our surroundings but also poses risks to wildlife and ecosystems.
Through teamwork and dedication, Юнацтво Victoria demonstrated the importance of caring for our environment and taking action within our communities. Their efforts not only restored part of the creek but also set an inspiring example of youth leadership and responsibility.
