Congratulations to members of the Plast Brisbane leadership team and Brisbane Hromada – Peter Bongiorni on the receipt of the Minister’s Multicultural Award at the 2023 Multicultural Queensland Awards and Adam Miljenovic and the rest of the volunteers and staff at the Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc that have all worked tirelessly to support displaced Ukrainians settling in Queensland over the last 18 months.
The Minister’s Multicultural Award is a commendation that celebrates Queenslanders who have made exceptional contributions to multiculturalism and have positively impacted the lives of culturally diverse communities. This award recognises individuals who go above and beyond their call of duty to make Queensland a more inclusive state and is awarded recognising the outstanding contributions of a nominee, selected by the Minister from all category nominations.
It reflects Plast values of community work, delivered as volunteers, for the benefit of others, at a time when so many needed assistance due to the war and the displaced people fleeing to Australia and settling in South East Queensland.
