Sv Yuri Perth 2025

Every year, Plast members around the world honour their patron saint, St George the Dragon-Slayer. It is he, unbreakable in faith and courage, who has become a symbol of courage and devotion.
For us, Plast members, this is not only a day of remembrance, but also a reminder of our main duty: ‘To be faithful to God and Ukraine’.

During the celebration in Perth on 4 May 2025, three senior Plast members took the Plast oath, 15 new members received their 100th anniversary of membership, and 4 young scouts received their scarves.
After a delicious lunch, we had fun and games. It was noteworthy that we played Easter hayivky for the first time. Spring games – hayivky – are a very old Ukrainian tradition. It is hard to imagine Western Ukraine at Easter without hayivky, which are often held near churches.

We were visited by guests from Melbourne and Sydney – Andriy Bernyk and Myrosia Ivasyk.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined our celebration.
